Are you bonded and insured?
All sitters at Cat Sitter DC are bonded and insured for your pet’s safety and for the protection of your property. We are a member of Pet Care Insurance, which is widely known and is one of the most trusted pet sitting organizations.
What are your service areas?
We currently provide cat sitting service in the following areas in Washington, D.C.: Adams Morgan, Bloomingdale, Brookland, Capitol Hill, Columbia Heights, Downtown, Dupont Circle, Edgewood, Logan Circle, Noma, Shaw, Southwest Waterfront and Truxton Circle.
How long is each visit?
Our regular visit is 30 minutes long. However, if you want us to spend more time, there is also a 60-minute option, which is a purrfect option for cats and kittens that need a lot of affection.
Do you provide an overnight sitting?
We currently don’t provide an overnight sitting service. However, please stay in touch because we are expanding our services and overnight sitting is one of the services we would like to offer soon.
Do you accept new clients on long weekends and holidays?
We do accept new clients on long weekends and holiday seasons. However, we do require a minimum number of visits during these periods. Contact us for more information.
How do I book a sitter from Cat Sitter DC?
If you want to book our cat sitting services please go to our Booking Page and follow the instructions. After you fill out all information and submit the booking form, we will send you a confirmation email and payment form. Once you make a payment, the booking will be completed. You can then schedule a key arrangement with us.
Note, first-time customers are encouraged to call after filling out the information so you and your pets can meet the cat sitter in person before the first visit to help introduce your pets to the sitter.
How do I cancel my booking?
Contact us info@catsitterdc.com or call 202-597-6282 for your full refund. However, if you request a refund less than 72 hours prior to the visit, we will not be able to refund any visits within 72 hours of the cancellation and a 25% cancellation fee of the remainder of the booking.

Are you providing a dog walking service?
We love dogs too! Unfortunately, we are specialized in cat sitting services in DC, so there is no dog walking service at the moment. However, if your dog needs a sitter, we would be happy to help. Please Contact Us before booking.
What about other animals?
If you have other animals (dog, bird, guinea pig, etc.) that require us to take care as well, we charge an additional fee. ($5.00 / animal.) But if the total number of pets is not more than three, you don’t have to worry about the additional fee. It’s included in the base rate. Please make sure you give us detailed instructions and information about the extra pets.
My cat needs medication, would you be able to take care of him/her?
We would be happy to help give medication to your cat. However, if your cat doesn’t take pocket pills or pills mixed treats or food, we recommend boarding your cat at a pet boarding facility to make sure they get the medication they need. We also recommend shy cats that need medication to be boarded since they might not take medication well from unfamiliar people.
